How Long Does A Garage Door

what you think of this story?

this is a story that I'm writing with my friend who has mental problems.. she is telling me what to write and i'm typing it up for her.... I was thing what do you think of it so far?? The air around me started getting colder and sent a chill down my spine. I quickly scanned around and notice the fog it was closing in around me fast and within seconds. I couldn’t see anything it had also got dark all of a sudden, so I pull my coat up around me, stood and gathered up my books. Start down our long garden, toward the back door of the house when I heard something. Crack behind me, I froze for half a second then quicken my pace and resisting the urge to look back as nothing good comes from looking behind you I learnt that from the movies. When I reached the back door and turned the key to open the door I had no breath left in me I frantically tried to grab some air but couldn’t. Once inside I flipped the light on, quickly shut the door and doubled locked it then checked out the window for any signs that I was followed, I saw a shape move quickly out in the fog. I was really frightened, I whipped the curtain across and turn my music on loud to block out my thoughts. Laid on the sofa and pulled the blanket up over me then closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep with my heart pounding. I woke suddenly to a load knock at the front door knock which only got louder with every tap; I didn’t know what to do. My eyes flung open to the new sound, it was dark and silent "great" I thought "the powers out again", I thought to myself (I know there’s a torch around here some were) so I hunted high and low for it. As perusal I found it in the last place I looked... The knocking had got louder and had moved round to the back door. So I got the torch and went back under the blanket, were I stayed till the knocked went. When it had been silent for a while I poked my head out and checked the clock 01:27 I went to check the fuses in the cupboard at the far end of the garage, opened the door and flashed my light into the black space, all the fuses where on and intact. Then I heard the front door click open. I froze for a moment then I rushed in to the hall to have a look and there stood a shadow. I had my torch in my hand ready to hit the person. I tried to shout for help but nothing came out. The shadow advanced toward Me. “its ok baby it only me" as it grew near the form of my boyfriend appeared. He grab hold of waist band pulled me close, tossed his wet hair all over me as he lend down to stroke my face, I dropped the torch at the feel of his touch, then I went on my tiptoes to close the gap between us. I was so please to have him here that I relax into him than I heard the knocking again I automatically pulled away from our embrace, quickly scanned around then said "did you hear that" he looked at me and said “hear what" “That sound, the knocking,” I said to him, “I’ve been hearing noises all day and a feeling that someone is watching me.” I continue. He looked at me like he wanted to laugh but didn’t... He said "it just the house moving, the only reason your hearing it is because your home alone" I looked up in to his soft brown eyes and said “can you stay” "of course baby but I’m going to have to leave early in the morning so your mum doesn’t catch me" he said as he pulled me close again " what time she expected back" he muffled in to my ear. About 5, I muffled into his chest. “But if you wont me to I can call someone to sit with you” he said once I have left. “No it’s ok, you know how she feels about me having people around” I said in to his chest again. “Ok, you know if you need me all you have to do is call me on my phone ok babe” “Ok” I said pulling my phone out. His phone started to ring he smoothly slid his phone out of his back pocket checked the caller ID and gave a little chuckle then looked at me and I gave a sheepish smile. "You said if I need you to call, so I called" I grabbed hold of his arm and with all my strength I yanked his body on top of me and we fell on to the sofa. I curled my legs around his waist and then he rolled me over so I was on top of him.

why you cannot trust CHRISTIAN EVANGELISATION INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES?

One of the people here in charge of donations and funds is Abp. Paul Austin Baker Bsc. OSL. He has a trackrecord of this... * borrowing huge sums of money from parishioners and local businessmen, for himself, saying he desperately needs it to pay his bills, in one case £8000 which he tried to raise to £15000 the week after, but then NEVER paying back any of the money, insisting he cannot afford it, despite the fact that he is always going on long expensive holidays, bought a bought, bought cars and spends more than most people on a good lifestyle. He has been bankrupt twice and had bailiffs after him. The home he lives in was a present from his parents. He had to leave the church he worked at BEFORE this one because of money disappearing and parishioners complaining. He has been refused any work by other churches because when he worked with them in the past he over charged them or refused to pay his share of bills, saying he cannot afford it. The same Archbishop, Bishop Baker, persuaded a parishioner he loves her and wants to marry her and wants to sort out the church so that he can leave his wife to do so. He insisted on meeting her parents and asking for her hand in marriage, he insisted on proposing properly, bought her a ring and got engaged in public and filmed it onto a dvd, which you can see on YOU TUBE. Yet he forgot to mention any of this to his wife, kids and grandkids. He also forgot to mention to his wife that he virtually moved in with the girlfriend and was pretendng to be at work most of the time and usually around there. He even hired the garage next door and parked his car there so that when his wife went shopping she would not see he was there. This lasted 8 years until the girlfriend ended it .Even then he nagged her to stay in touch saying that hehad prayed to God that his wife would die and they could be together properly. How selfish to convince a young single woman to be there for you when she is far better off findng a young single man. See YOU TUBE Bishop Paul Baker. Also UK newspaper SUNDAY PEOPLE. All has been proven beyond doubt. Although this church insists you can only become an ordained minister with them IF you successfully complete a two plus year training and examination programme, they recently decided that FREDA BAKER could become a pastor, although she was merely a housewife who was married to a clergyman, and did not do any of the course or pay any of the course fees. Abp. Baker has had to move. His wife insisted on it because she knew he would always be pestering his girlfriend to see him otherwise. But alsobecause local people in their town were so horrified at how badly he had treated this woman and the way he ignores his church teachings, and borrows money and does not repay it, that they were both shunned by the town. Rev. Dr. Leslie Mary Trombly knows all this and says this just makes him a typical man. But would anyone with any sense trust a man who is so useless and selfish and greedy over money with donations and the church's funds? And would a church that represents good and the ten commandments trust a man who lies every time he opens his mouth, and has no concern for the welfare of his parishioners?

The sad thing is that people fall for these con men.

Money causes a lot of trouble in some ministries.

ha ha ha "Sunday People" newspaper? Proven beyond a doubt? Dude, get a real source. The Sunday People is a trashy tabloid - they ain't exactly well known for thoughtful investigative journalism - or fact checking, for that matter.

There will always be people who capitalize selfishly on the Christian movement. These people are con artists and thieves. However, you really can't generalize on all evangelistic international ministries because most of them do an incredible amount of good work for God. Why choose to make one man the face of the entire movement? That's unfair.
Pepsi ^-^ | May 01, 2010
Religion is corrupt. Faith however, is not. People use religion to get away with all sorts of awful BS. Think of all these 'prophets'. Jim Jones, David Koresh, I can't think of the name right now but there was also a man in the western United States a couple of years ago, he was a leader for one of the popular mega churches. There are many more. Religion is used to justify everything. Money laundering, child molestation, murder, you name it. It's been done in the name of religion.
Reginald | May 01, 2010
Now let me see. Because they tell a lot of lies. Because they use their parishioners instead of being there to help them. Because they steal money. Because they say one thing and do another and ignore the bible...that is enough to be getting on with. Yeah?

New generation of opener tech - DIY Install

This product is the latest generation of opener technology from Chamberlain. It is extremely quiet and the warranty is fantastic (better than earlier generations). Please note that because this is a new generation, there WILL be compatibility problems with older generation openers. The remotes and remote keypad use Security+ 2.0 and the accessories use MyQ technology. This means that this opener will not work with previous generations of Chamberlain accessories, so be careful when purchasing them. Also, some reviews here that are not Amazon verified seem to not be for this unit and describe earlier generations. This unit is for 7' tall doors (kits available for taller ones). Note that the model carried by Costco looks to have a similar model number (WD962KD) but it uses the older technology so the accessories/remotes are not compatible.Pluses over older generation belt driven models: Better warranty than earlier generations. Garage Door Opener

Although I bought this product at a local store, this product is the same.By far this is the quietest garage door opener I have owned. I am very impressed with everything about this product. Some people complained about the directions. I found them very clear. Some people also complained about some missing parts. Since each installation is very different, I can understand why some parts might not be included. The directions make it very clear which parts are missing from the kit. There is a downside that was brought up by a previous reviewer. The garage door opener uses new frequencies or codes that are not compatible with automobiles older than 2011. The company that deals with the wireless stuff is called Homelink, a unit of Johnson Controls. I called up the company and told the representative that my car would not program properly. He told me my car was not compatible and I needed something called a Homelink Repeater. Silent Opener

This is the best garage door opener I have ever seen and not heard. It is well built and dead silent. The WD962KEV opener is sold under as a variety of bundles. I happen to have the HD920EV (HD stands for Home Depot), the opener itself is exactly the same across all these bundles, it is the accessories that are different (HD920EV, 349544, WD962KEF, and WD962KPEV are the same opener). My only complaint with this opener is the instruction manual. There is a fair amount of paper packed in the box. It would have been really simple for Chamberlain to publish and installation manual and then a separate manual for use. I'm not normally somebody that likes extra paperwork. In this case the installation is so complicated and long, and I will only use that part of the manual once; it seems logical to have a separate manual for adjusting, programming, and use. Sadly the whole box feels like a bunch of independent parts tossed in one box. The biggest omission is the whole... 5/5 Daniel G. Lebryk (Chicago) - See all my reviews, December 25, 2012

I purchased this battery replacement for the Chamberlain Whisper Drive Plus 3/4 HPS model# 248754. The manual and Chamberlain's website called for purchasing part# 41A6357-1.The Chamberlain website was about the same price (just slightly more), but the shipping was $8.63 for ground (5-10 business days) and $29.83 for air (3-5 business days). The annoying beep every 20-30 seconds was enough to pay the $30 for air shipping, but I had to wait another 3-5 business days.I read a couple of reviews stating that this battery was successfully used to replace the 41A6357-1 battery type. The connectors on this battery is slightly different than the original manufacturer battery as it did not have wires connected to the battery and only had the clips. The wires on the original manufacturer battery allowed for an easier time to remove the battery. buyer beware

We bought this unit because we have a townhouse and our garage is under the main level. Pros - very very quiet, lots of cool features like Timer To Close so if you forget to close your garage you can set it to automatically close after a set time of your choice. Cons - seriously questionable reliability. This thing worked fine the first week we had it installed, but by week two it wouldn't respond to the remotes or open so we had the installers come out again. They said it just needed the sensors adjusted and that I could do it myself the next time. A few weeks later, again, it wouldn't open nor respond to the remotes. Had them come out again and they did the same thing along with spraying the tracks with WD40. It worked for a few weeks before it would intermittently not work. Bait-and-switch.

In terms of a garage door opener, this unit is quiet and smooth and easy to assemble. So, yeah...... great.HOWEVER, there are plenty of other products that are also quiet, smooth and easy to assemble and that cost much less than this one. For me, the hook was that this unit had the "MyQ" feature, which allowed it to be used with smartphones and tablets (a handy feature for my personal lifestyle), and it had very good "universal" compatibility with other openers, such as the "Car2U" systems found in newer cars. But not so fast.It wasn't until I bought and installed the unit that I found that it will not work with Car2U (in my 2013 Ford) unless I purchase an additional repeater to make it work. That's the first part I'd need. So tack on $45 or so, with the shipping.Additionally, the MyQ feature will not work without a separate purchase of a gateway to seam the compatibility with your home router. There's another $50, plus the... 2/5 res10cue - See all my reviews This review is from: LiftMaster 8550 Garage Door Opener Elite Series DC Battery Backup W/O Rail Assembly In terms of a garage door opener, this unit is quiet and smooth and easy to assemble. So, yeah...... great.HOWEVER, there are plenty of other products that are also quiet, smooth and easy to assemble and that cost much less than this one. Great Battery and Great Customer Service

This review isn't really about the battery - it's great. It's more about the company that is selling these on Amazon. Best Deal Supply are selling these for nothing and they are shipping them for free. I was expecting to get what I paid for, and I was very happy to see that the product arrived in great shape. It's not old, the charge is fine, and the packaging was top-notch.The impressive part was that I contacted the seller to see where my product was since I felt like it should have been here by now. For an item that I paid a dollar and some change for I wasn't expecting anything from them, but I instead received extremely fast feedback. They helped me track down the package, and even followed up to ensure that I did get it and everything was fine. Let me remind you that I paid not even $2 for this product, and I got better service then some products that I have paid $60 for. It turns out that it was my local post office that was to blame, and not the seller -... 5/5 Christopher L. Paul "Prime User" (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews, May 14, 2012

0 3/5 Jimmy Q "Happy tails" (Northeast US) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: GE 45130 Choice-Alert Wireless Garage Door Sensor (Tools & Home Improvement) Works great after your realize the 150 feet remote range is questionable. It took us 2 weeks to figure out we had to move the control box closer to the remotes. Works great now and lets us know if either door is open or closed from living room. We don't have to go downstairs to check. Also I didn't realize remotes don't come with control box and had to order seperately after the fact. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 9, 2009

    Piece of garbage

0 1/5 Orlando Resident (Florida) - See all my reviews This review is from: GE 45130 Choice-Alert Wireless Garage Door Sensor (Tools & Home Improvement) The range on this is horrible. My garage door is only about 20ft from the control center and that is too far away. Control will not pick up signal from the sensor. I'm returning this junk. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 17, 2012

    Do not buy this

0 1/5 pamboy "pamboy" - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: GE 45130 Choice-Alert Wireless Garage Door Sensor (Tools & Home Improvement) First the distance is not 150 feet. It is about 20 feet and should be direct site and the antenna is at a certain position. Do not call GE because there is no tech support. I filed a complain with Department of Corporation for false advertisement. If you put the control center in garage you will not hear it. I have a steel garage door and it made a few holes because of trial and error.I am adding this review: The 20 feet is not very consistent--sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't-- I had to put it right next to the garage motor for it to be reliable. I definitely cannot hear it inside our house.Update: With the repeater installed, this device does not receive the signal from sensor half of the time. Too bad i lost the packaging, and i cannnot return them. Completely unreliable. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 4, 2012
